Where to go?
Where to go?
Hi,
I´m planning a trip from Sweden, to the south of England. And I need some good advise on bikerfriendly roads.
I´m also looking for campsites along the coastline - preferably with a classic pub within walkingdistance.
Rough plan:
Coastline, Dover - Lands End - Bridgewater : 4 campsites
Return over inland, Bridgewater - Stonehenge - Dover: 2 campsites
Looking for dramatic scenery and good roads.
Any suggestions? Please send me an message / e-mail.
Thanks!

No family in Britain, I just picked a couple of places to get a major routeplan.
I´m planning a 6 days visit, and the south coastline is a "must", as well as Stonhenge. Will proberbly use the eurotunnel under the channel.
Big citys are "no go", I prefer the countryside.
Living in tent and spending the evening at a local pub, are also a "must".

If you're going to Stonehenge pop over to Avebury, on the A4 near Marlborough, go to a pub called the Red Lion. Loads of stones to walk around, very biker friendly pub and supposed to be U.K's most haunted pub. Some very good roads round there too.
The White hart pub in Lyneham, not too far from Avebury, has a huge garden in which you could set up tents. Here's the number 01249890243. Hope that helps you out, not sure if they'll charge you though, as they tend to leave a B&B room free for bathroom facilities.

Is it too big!!

When coming back up from Lands end take A39 North Coast Road & make sure you get across to Lynton/Lynmouth - if you like countryside, a good place to stop over with stunning coastal views & much lighter traffic. Avoid boring A30.
