jacket and jeans at least please

Just got back from hols in Florida where the usual bike gear is jeans or shorts, t-shirt, sunglasses.

No helmet required.

In the whole 2 weeks only saw 2 people wearing any kind of jacket and that was on the motorway, 95% don't wear helmets either. Maybe the fact that 95% of bikes are Harleys explains some of it.

Whilst we were there a guy was killed at a junction near us when someone else ran a red light and hit him, he wasn't wearing a helmet.

I think it's up to people to make their own decissions on what to wear, but I don't think I would ever not wear a helmet even if the law allowed it.

i wouldnt feel safe not wearin the correct gear! iv only got a scooter, and i make sure iv got atleast jeans on, and a long sleved top. and i will always wear a lid on bike! no matter wot the law is in the country im in! :)
