rossi - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4d8f2YVQ ... re=related
stoner - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x0VYLg4aFww
I think personality is as important as lap times, its makes for an intresting race. Otherwise i'd just go and watch the f1
Rossi makes it about the crowd, he knows how to enjoy the spectacle of a race. Wheras i feel Stoner is purely racing for him self. Thats why i like - Dovisizio, Lorenzo, DeAnglis, Toseland, Edwards and dislike Stoner, Hayden and Pedrosa.

Re: GERMANY MOTOGP SPOILER
Ducati aren't a big team, that is a point but percentage of work force wise they have alot more focus on racing because that is what they have built their whole marketing strategy on. It also means they can't afford to have two big riders. This means that they can't make a bike that is set up for two different riders (or attelite teams) and risk both falling down the table. So it's a case of focus of focus on one rider to get you the points, who is already champion and will sell merchandise on his name and his wins.
Stoner being commited? I seem to remember stories of him leaving practice sessions over winter more than two hours early and before anyone else.
It's a good job I don't do marketting, I was always shite at drawing posters at school.

Re: GERMANY MOTOGP SPOILER
disagree with you there big style matey, ducati are the constructers and team champions so techinically are better than the rest
.
ducati motogp is a big time team with 2 big money riders, i wouldnt be suprised that bar fiat yamaha( and thats only due to rossis wage ) that its the 2 highest paid riders in a team, they will want melandri to win on that bike as its a itai on a itai bike and will do wonders for them. melandri should be doing far better on the bike than he is,theres no reason why a man of his ability and talent is slower than elias and guintoli
also i love the way people compare the size of the factories too when really what should be compared is the size of the racing departments ie ducati corse and HRC as thats the sides of the manufacturers who control and design the race bikes

LOL. Absolutely the point I was making. They cant afford to run a duff bike. If the bike goes fast for one rider it goes fast for them all. End of story. Dont matter how much money you throw at a team, its the throttle jockey who makes it go fast or not. Look at Rossi on the yam. Mick Doohan on the old beast 500.To think that Ducati would only want to come first instead of first and second is hilarious.
Stoner being commited?
If you really believe that anyone on that motogp track is not fully committed to winning and riding bikes hard I am amazed. They didnt get those rides from a lucky bag did they? LMAO

Re: GERMANY MOTOGP SPOILER
didnt he leave early due to the fact he was so far in front and it was a exercise to intimidate the other guys

Re: GERMANY MOTOGP SPOILER
Couldn't have been that far in front if you look at the initial results of the season. It's a bit short sighted and arrogant thinking your 'so far in front based upon pre-season practice comparisons. What team in their right mind would show how good they can really be in plain view of everyone when the others still have time to develop and catch up.deej wrote:didnt he leave early due to the fact he was so far in front and it was a exercise to intimidate the other guys

Re: GERMANY MOTOGP SPOILER
I'm starting to think you just dont like the guy no matter what he does or doesnt do. Dunno why really. Just kinda picking up on a vibe........LMFAO!Funky wrote:Couldn't have been that far in front if you look at the initial results of the season. He won the first race by over 5 seconds.deej wrote:didnt he leave early due to the fact he was so far in front and it was a exercise to intimidate the other guys
It's a bit short sighted and arrogant thinking your 'so far in front based upon pre-season practice comparisons. True but I think they were playing mind games with the opposition.

Re: GERMANY MOTOGP SPOILER
My 10 pence worth is ok Stoner is tallented and i have made a point many times of dishing him.
Lately i have changed my view of him as he showing a talent that if he keeps going with is going to be hard to match and could become a top top name in MOTOGP history.
I still feel he isn't as talented as the likes of Rossi just yet as he is so unable to ride around the probs he experiences and needs the bike he has got at the mo bring him victories. Look what he was like a few races back
No where. Bring in last years bike (what he knows) and hey presto. He still has a long way to go and obviously the likes of Rossi has a lot more experience then him.
But the thing that really annoys me about him is his imature, spoilt, throw my helmet in the corner of the garage behaviour when things ain't going right for him. It disgusted me, god knows how his engineers felt. What a stroppie git and then when he does win he still ain't a barrel of laughs is he ?
But he will someday and as long as he stays on a Duc that works for him will be an all time great
