irridium/tinted visors
how crap is the law went out today using my new irridium visor and could see everything sun in front real lowit was great, i tried previously using sunglasses but i couldnt hardly get them on, the law says you should have a helmet that is correctly fitted, if you have it fitted the correct size what a bloody nightmare it is to get your sunglasses on and when do its so uncomfortable its a bloody crazy law

always use irridium visor.....
new law out....90% of cops will give you a little word of warning and thats it.Always carry your clear visor on you.simple solution really.
tried to ride with sun glasses on,sketched me out so took them off.
mirror visor is awesome plus no one can see my mug through it.

Don't know if you can still get them but you used to be able to buy coloured and tinted "inserts" this give the same as affect however at night you just took the insert out rolled it up and puit it in your pocket.
Nobody with a good car needs to be justified.

I bought one a few months ago -- from Abbots in Newton Abbot. Works ok although a bit fiddly to fit.ZX6R";p="15170 wrote:Don't know if you can still get them but you used to be able to buy coloured and tinted "inserts" this give the same as affect however at night you just took the insert out rolled it up and puit it in your pocket.

Re: irridium/tinted visors
I've got a reactalite insert for my visor, works a treat, means it stays clear in the dark and tints in the daylight..... and also works as an anti fog too... no messing about changing visors etc... (you can get them for Arai lids too
) you can also get a hyper optic lense too...

You can wear a tinted visor but it has to be one with the british kite mark on it. Sunglasses can fog up too and you cant flip them up when it happens!

Re: irridium/tinted visors
I use a iridium visor, though I do carry the clear on me most of the time.
I've been pulled once on the bike, (Blue Headlight screen) & the officer that pulled me over was a biker so he wasn't gonna do anything because he uses them himself.
I think it should just be common sense, if it's sunny & bright, wear your tinted visor.
If it's the middle of the night, wear your clear.
There's a law that states you can't sell an iridium visor in this country, I ordered mine from Ireland & it was here in 2 days

Re: irridium/tinted visors
Spent ages loking on the net last night about the law and visors....Road Peace dont like em (Who the f*@k are Road Peace?) anyway after my ride yesterday I'm ordering a visor as soon as I can.
A-T I have 2 lids, one a cheap Takachi and the other a HJC the same as yours. Where did you get your visor and how much?
