how crap is the law went out today using my new irridium visor and could see everything sun in front real lowit was great, i tried previously using sunglasses but i couldnt hardly get them on, the law says you should have a helmet that is correctly fitted, if you have it fitted the correct size what a bloody nightmare it is to get your sunglasses on and when do its so uncomfortable its a bloody crazy law

Your allowed to wear big think sunglasses which you cant just flick up but you're not allowed tinted visors which does block that much light and can be flicked up in seconds..... This is the UK for you.

Don't know if you can still get them but you used to be able to buy coloured and tinted "inserts" this give the same as affect however at night you just took the insert out rolled it up and puit it in your pocket.

I bought one a few months ago -- from Abbots in Newton Abbot. Works ok although a bit fiddly to fit.

I've got a reactalite insert for my visor, works a treat, means it stays clear in the dark and tints in the daylight..... and also works as an anti fog too... no messing about changing visors etc... (you can get them for Arai lids too  ) you can also get a hyper optic lense too...

You can wear a tinted visor but it has to be one with the british kite mark on it. Sunglasses can fog up too and you cant flip them up when it happens!

I use a iridium visor, though I do carry the clear on me most of the time.

I've been pulled once on the bike, (Blue Headlight screen) & the officer that pulled me over was a biker so he wasn't gonna do anything because he uses them himself.

I think it should just be common sense, if it's sunny & bright, wear your tinted visor.

If it's the middle of the night, wear your clear.

There's a law that states you can't sell an iridium visor in this country, I ordered mine from Ireland & it was here in 2 days

Spent ages loking on the net last night about the law and visors....Road Peace dont like em (Who the f*@k are Road Peace?) anyway after my ride yesterday I'm ordering a visor as soon as I can.
A-T I have 2 lids, one a cheap Takachi and the other a HJC the same as yours. Where did you get your visor and how much?
