Dropped the sv again!!!!!

Post by lost_identity »

30 mph lowside on diesel at theatre royal roundabout. Bugger. Damage = 1 completely trashed crash bung (thank u mr R&G loves ya  ), 1 slightly displaced mirror (easily retightend), 1 bent gear lever, 1 bent sidestand, and one scraped belly pan (getting it sprayed to match bike soon ne way. Nice bunch of chavs stopped to see if i was ok. Nice guys. i just picked it up put it on the stand and phoned the nice people at bennetts to come clean the spill. Hopped bak on and rode off feeling more than a little silly. Chavs told me i was crazy to get bak on the bike. Gonna order new gear lever and sidestand tomoz but bike running fine and is perfectly rideable for the timebeing. Got a haynes manual so soon it'll be nice again. Oh yeah and a new R&G required can u buy just the rubber part of the bung???

a clutch leaver from a dealer will cost you £17.22 (plus £32.26 if you've buggered the gear shift assembly).

Bad luck mate.

Don't get the clutch lever from GT, try CMS, they sell pattern ones which are cheaper but look exactly the same. I'm afraid your stuck with them for the gear lever though.
