Was i missed...

Post by Spyke »

Well i started posting on here again not to long ago. To get re-aquainted with you all, for ride outs and the like this summer. But now it appears i shall not be seeing any of you this summer. Ill explain.

I was out on a nice ride (taking the scenic way home from work) a few weeks back, when i came upon 2 lorries on a short stretch of dual carrageway, and i thought ill have thease 2, so checked blind, indicated checked again pulled out, and accelerated, looked down to check i wasnt going TOO fast looked up and lorry 1 was about 5 foot in front of me, i was doing 70 he was doing about 30. Panic hit and i wacked on the anchors, luckily i lost the front immediatly and let go of the bike so i missed tthe lorry. my bike them slid under said lorry and i bounced across the 2 lanes of oncoming traffic. How i didnt get hit by a car a still dont know. So after a lovely ride in a helicopter and 2 days strapped to a board with blocks either side of my head (Doc's thought id broke my neck) i got away with just a shattered shoulder. My pride and joy R6 is totslly written off. and the docs reckon it will be 6-8 months before my right arm is strong enough for me to ride again, great just in time for WINTER!!!!

Oh and to top it all off, the lorry driver that caused the whole thing has worded his statement in such a way that the cops have said it was nobodies fault, which is great as im only 3rd party so i now have to sue the [bar steward] to get the monies i need to replace my bike, which could take up to 5 years GREAT.

Well i hope you all have an awesome summer anyway. it looks like its going to be a scorcher, so enjoy it and ride safe.
My Rice Krispies told me to do it!!!

Dont do anything i wouldnt, but if you do TAKE PICTURES!!!

Bad luck with the crash, but at least you're relatively ok.

Good luck with the claim.

That's bad news  you were very lucky to get away with it. The bike can be replaced, good luck with the claim!
