A bunch of MP's want bikes to be limited because there's too many of us getting killed/injured. Ok a fair few are down to rider error, but there's also a considerable amount down to other road users actions. As usual instead of tackling the problem of bad driving/riding the powers that be want to put rstrictions on the vehicle.

MP's meddling again

As a paramedic I spend some of time throughout the year taking motorcyclists to A/E. Very few involved in accidents are due to them riding at excessive speeds. Mainly it's due to misjudging an overtake or a corner, or crappy road surfaces. And of course inconsiderate other motorists. I attend far more accidents involving cars. Will they want to restrict them? Of course they bl***y won't. It's just we are an easy taget.

Its all boll*cks, the only serious accident I've ever had on a bike (bike written off, no sex for 2-months
) was when I hit an unlit traffic bollard at 15mph whilst filtering and all my near misses have been had whilst travelling within the speed limit but outside my own limitations...
If they're so interested in stopping innocent people being seriously injured & dying then they ought to ban rugby, mountaineering and any other sport that involves getting out of bed in the morning. Banning other little things like starting illegal wars in foriegn countries, smoking & consumption of alcohol...
Shoot the lot of them & on with the revolution...
