Hello again!

Post by DaveH »

I've not posted here for a while but my mate andyrh has been banging on about the great SWB ride-out he did last year and the summer ride-out coming-up in May ... so i thought I'd say 'Hi' again.

I'm lovin the new look by the way :D

Hey Deej!

Yep I still have the SPS but it doesn't get out so much now. I love it but it is just too uncompromising for regular use round here - 5-10 mins warning-up before each ride, bl**dy uncomfortable at anything less than 60-70 and happiest on wide sweepers at 100+

I was worried for my back and my license so I treated myself to a KTM Super Duke - lots of fun under the ton!

Trouble is the SD is such a hooligan that I still have to watch myself. I'm sitting on 9 points at the moment with a possible summons and ban in the offing - though I got the NIP over 8 months ago so it looks like they have forgotten all about it or missed the court deadlines Image

The SD has been off the road for two months after a stupid woman pulled-out on me. Not too much damage as I laid the bike down so it didn't go into the side of her car. My head did hit the car however - bl**dy great Arai-shaped dent in the driver's door and a day in Bristol Royal Infirmary for me

Anyway, I should be getting the SD back on Wednesday - complete with the swing-arm painted black which'll make it look even meaner than it does at the moment

Hopefully I'll get out on it with you guys this summer :D

Hi bambam

is that a Speed Triple I spy in your avatar?!? If you are looking for the same but with a bit more of the hooligan about it, then there is a fair old chance that you'll like the SD. I love it. Big initial depreciation though, so good secondhand bargains to be had. Try to get an '07/'08 rather than an '05/'06 if you can - slightly improved tank range, gearing, fuelling and high-speed stability.

Cheers
