If i were you, being a learner, i`d follow my head.
You want a bike that,if it happened to get damaged  ,wouldn`t pee you off too much.
Just think how you would feel if you had the bike of your dreams & it got damaged through lack of experience. :x

Hope this helps :)

Go for the Bandit, indestructable engines and loads of cheap bits when ( sorry 'OR IF' ) you drop it!
Cut me in half and I'v got Suzuki written right through me!

In all honesty, duke parts prices ain't really any more expensive than Jap parts ....... and Bandit build quality ain't all that either. The 600 monster has been around a long while now, and parts will be available from breakers (most monsters of all capacities share similar running gear). The 600 monster engine performance is soft an un-intimidating, and pretty understressed to (the bottom end is basically the same as the 750/900 variants. It's also probably less likely to tempt you to go quicker than you're able either, and has a nice riding position .......

That said, if it has to live outside and uncovered, it probably won't survive as well as a jap bike (even given Suzuki's poor build quality  ) and in all honesty it probably won't be as reliable/fool-proof as a Jap bike, but sometimes it's nice to let the heart rule the head  All I would say is look carefully at what you buy - any of the bikes listed bought "cheap" could well be poorly/hamfistedly maintained "first big bikes" with all that means .....
Of all the things I have ever lost, I miss my mind the most .....

Handle stressful situations like a dog - If you can't eat it or play with it, pee on it and walk away

Getting the belts changed and the services etc on the monster is bloody expensive unless you do it yourself...

But then again, a Monster is less powerfull than a Hornet or Bandit.
And trellis frames looks awesome, and the sound
And you can say you own a Ducati

hornet looks like more fun than the bandit - the duc looks like it (possibly) could be more fun again.

out of that lot the bandit is the only one I have ever ridden and its a painfully dull uninspiring bike so im going to presume that the other two options have got to be a better bet as far as grin factor goes. id grab a go on both and see which makes you smile more then buy that one.
