Best/Worse Biking Moments/Days of 2008 !

Ok, i know the year isnt quite over yet..but its as good as ! So whats been your best and worse biking days or moments !

BEST -

A few of the best for me have to be my first proper ride out with SWB, when myself, bambam, cheese monkey and some other guy met at jaspers - great day out that was !!

Riding with you guys for the summer ride out was great aswell, biggest group ive ever ridden in !

And of course my first day on the 6r - never thought that would happen this year !

WORST -

Um, none really i dont think. High siding the er5 wasnt all that much fun, but was a learning expirince, and putting it into a crash barrier wasnt great either - but went on to have a great rideout that day so it kinda balenced out !

Best

Picking up the Divvy and doing over 1000 miles in 3 or 4 days.
Awesome summer filled with great rides. Few that stand out First ride to plymouth with Funky Bambam and Johnbob, Up to Minehead with Varcon, That blistering hot day with Bambam and Rik on the Repsol Sp1/2? no idea where we went though.
Buying the R6
Learning to wheelie ish
Highlight of the year, doing Llandow.

Worst

Having to work every sunday so missing all the early rides.
Binning the Divvy 3 times
Walking past the R6 everyday to get on the Divvy

Fecking piggy ticket for speeding.

Now my bike is de-restricted my caliper seals still aren't hear so i can't ride it yet

Worst: Being taken out by a cyclist and ending up with a broken wrist (did get a date with a nurse out of it though)

Taking delivery of a brand new GSX-R1000 K8, didn't think i'd ever own a new bike.

Losing three family members in three months and two great mates as well.

All those hot sunny days just getting on the vfr and ragging the shee-ite out of it on great twisty roads.You know when the skies blue,the roads are clear and you can smell the warm tarmac on the breeze....yyyeeaahhhhhhhh
Getting my knee down for the first time.And the next, and the next...
Buying the ninja.The first time i opened that throttle properly....jesus sh*tting christ!I couldnt stop giggling
Having a policeman follow me home and compliment me on my riding.

Worst:

Having a policeman follow me while speeding and bollock me for my riding.
Pretty much october onwards weather-wise.Too cold and greasy for any fun

New years biking resolutions:
(forthe sake of my license and because my daughter doesnt want to lose her daddy: )
Stop riding so fast all the time.
Concentrate on safer riding i.e. better forward planning,hazard awareness.

Reaching the top of col de tourmalet at 10am. What a ride

Buying the CG. Having my knee brushed. Winter commuting

best - rebuilding it with gav in 16 hours from scratch into a track bike 3 months later

hard to pick any one thing ... the various ride-outs, getting abroad/to Le Mans on the bike again for the first time in a few years, the clutch actuating arm breaking 30mins out of Le Havre with 60 mins 'til the ferry started loading, people passing away/crashing, so easier to say .......

One of the best was just one random day out on the bike after a couple of weeks not riding and realising that i had a huge grin as i just rode along enjoying the bike and the road, then stopping for a smoke sat astride the bike just enjoying the weather and listening to the bike ticking away as it cooled down.

Worst quite probably after the summer ride being in front of bambam on the way back to Exeter when we were going home and went over a manhole while accelerating fairly hard while overtaking and the bike kicked at both ends, nearly shat myself

Best: Having the whole of June off work and spending two weeks in Dominican Republic, closely followed by the huge relief of getting out of the employ of HG

Worst..... Bloody sea time is preventing me from doing this, and missing out on trackdays

the utterly rubbish july/August weather making it barely worth owning a bike this summer.
