Dyno run. Expensive?

Post by AndyS4 »

Hi guy's not been on here in a while. Iv fitted my speedfour with a leovince SBK and K&N filters. Needless to say the map isn't right for it now.

I was wondering how much to expect to pay for a dyno run with a custom tune to make the bike run correctly.

Thank's much

Have you got a power commander or tuneboy? If you haven't then your going to need that first, unless im mistaken and the speed fours on carbs. But all depends on who you take it to and how many runs it needs etc. Your looking at £200 + though i reckon

It largely depends on how bad the fueling is when it is first run, and whether the device you have fitted has wide enough parameters to adjust the fueling to what you need. I personally don't do tuneboys, but that's just me. realistically you'll be looking at around the £180/200 mark depending on dyno operator.

As far as I'm aware the nearesst person who can deal with Tuneboys is in Southampton, I asked at GT and they had never heard of it lol!

Tuneboy should give you the adjustability you need then, you could have a look on the tuneboy forums and see if anyone else has an s4 with similar mods to your bike and has got a decent map already and then just load that onto your ecu.
