Do 600 srad wheels fit k1 750 ?

Hi all,
As the title says does anybody know if the gsxr 600 srad wheels fit a k1 gsxr 750 ? Do they fit with/without any modification ? or not at all ?

Yes they will fit with a little work, new spacers etc, discs are the same so no problems there. Main question is why? the K series wheels are much lighter than SRAD wheels, and the wheels from a 750Y to K5 600K1 to K5 1000 K1 to K4 and SV1000 are all the same. The 1000 rear is 6 inch rather than 5.5 inch but will fit into a 750 swingarm with just the right spacers, The wheels are quite plentiful and not too expensive these days. I use K series wheels on a lot of my bike builds because they seem to fit most things with a bearing swap and are much much lighter than many wheels.

The answer to why is a simple one ... i already have a gsxr 600 srad with a spare set of wheels, now i plan on selling the bike but was going to keep the wheels to use as spares (probably with wet tyres on) for my newly acquired k1 gsxr 750 track bike if money wasn't a possible problem then i'd get the correct wheels but like i said i already own the srad wheels, do you think it will be noticibly different then running the srad wheels (only on a wet track and probably alot slower) ?
I suppose i could put them up for a swap ...... someone out there must want the older, heavier wheels for the newer lighter ones !? Mind you they have been repainted and havn't been on a bike since !! Hint hint

If you're only chucking a set of wets on them them you should be fine, but you will notice a difference when you swap them.
