Camping or Lodge for llandow 2013

Post by billinom8s »

There is a campsite next to the track at Llandow that has been used by us for many years but more recently the price of Travel Lodges/Premier Inn/Welcome Break etc has dropped.

Cost of a pitch at the campsite is as follows (this year)http://www.llandowcaravanpark.com/tariff.html

looking at travelodge the price is this, for a good nights sleep http://www.travelodge.co.uk/search_and_ ... &x=48&y=13" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I'm thinking we will be booking a room here and then popping along to the site in the evening to say hi and take a bimble around the track.

You'd be stupid to pay those prices to camp.

We are going to go for the motorway services one. It's apparently safe and does the job.

Actually Si, you sure you haven't booked to stay in Jan cos Travelodge says the £15 room sale is only applicable for staying in Jan/Feb, not for booking IYKWIM :-?

Yeah missed the bargain, M4 services booked for £22 still bloody good.

Luckily remembered to click on twin room or that could've been a cosy one! :ymsmug:

Waiting to hear from campsite. Me and him will be towing the bikes so would be worried about parking up with the bikes on the trailer.... will sleep in the van with our very comfy mattress...

We will book 2 nights so that a few beers can be consumed if we survive the day :80: :D

Tracey, if the issue of security is the only thing stopping you from 'lodging...there will be others with trailers attached going. What we've done before was to park other vans blocking the trailer in, and even chain trailers to em! :)): I know it dont work for the second night (most will have gone home straight after)! HTH x
