Also park the bike on a dark straight road put it on high beam and lower the aim, shouldn't be lighting up trees ! you don't need to be seen from the ISS

What bike is it? Those blue ones are awful imho, best to stick with white, be careful if you up the wattage can melt plastics and mess up alternators, HID is one way of improving !

UPDATE: Just rang Kevin Williams motorcycles at Blackwater, the same guys who do my MOTs and spike said he will bang it off for me so job done, really cannot recommend those guys enough, sound chaps there and really do help out bikers, if you need any work done go there !

UPDATE: Hi guys and gals the Engine is out and almost ready to split,heads are off, just need to get a puller to get the magneto out, I don't suppose any of you guys know what size I will need? It doesn't say anything in the bloody manual (typical)

Thanks, chain tension is spot on, not sure about the shift return spring, but when I try to shift down to first it feels like it needs to go further, its not getting that satisfying clunk, I am pretty convinced its the gear change forks, looks like its going to be a split job ! Yes its a wet clutch oil is both engine and gearbox, friends are suggesting worn gear fork selectors requiring a box split !Kevitree wrote:check oil and (not sure if seperate gearbox oil on varadero) also check chain and sprockets for correct tightness and for wear
