You are of course welcome along to any Southwestbikers rideout, however your bike must be in good mechanical order (we don’t want anything falling off of it including you), taxed and have a current MOT. You must have a valid motorcycle licence and current motor insurance. You are in charge of your motorcycle at all times and SWB will not accept any responsibility for actions you take or any accidents you may have. Always ride within your own capabilities and do not put others at risk. Remember, while you are on a Southwestbikers rideout you are representing the site and what it stands for.
Thank-you.

Don't forget......ANYONE can organise and run a rideout.

Me v's Farrari

Post by Mike Daytona600 »

Just been to Westbay by myself. Had a hot choc and started to ride home. Just before I went onto the Westbay roundabout I saw a Farrari (53 reg, wide, very low, twin exhaust, sounded sweet 8) ) go up the Bridport bypass. He overtook a car, I followed (2 lanes our side). That was it race on. :D Problem was I've just put a new tyre on the back and at that time it had only done about 30 miles.  The bike was getting pebble dashed but it didn't matter. I had to keep up.

I was behind him, with us both overtaking other cars, all the way to the Charmouth bybass. Then I nailed it (2 lanes our side). There's a slight bend at the bottom (not so slight with a new tyre when nailing it) so he left me a bit but once on the staright I got him. Hard on the brakes for the roundabout and then he went around the outside of me on it. We both went towards Axminster( 2 lanes our side) and I had him going up the hill and passed another car. We nailed it along the straight to the duel carrage way where he over took because the start is on a bend (new tyre). God knows what the cyclist though, yes we did give him plenty of room. We nailed it some more until he had to turn of right. He tooted, I tooted and waved.

It's worth mentioning that there was a lot of places I could have overtaken him when we were in traffic, but that would have been too easy :D And that if the tyre hadn't been new I'd have left him for dust. As for how fast, within the limit of course

Was I glad I went for a ride? You bloody know it. The drugys can keep their drugs

Twas good fun :D

More anoying than having a new tyre on and not frashing his pants is that he didn't know that I had a new rear tyre on which is why I didn't frash his pants.

A Porsche Boxter was in front of me coming off Sandy gate roundabout a few years ago when i had my Fazer. Before i knew it he floored it.

Took me by surprise but i knocked it down a couple cogs and went for it.

Next thing i knew i was in the 150mph area and didn't have enough to pass him.

He went that way and i went that way. Gutted

Promised myself it will never happen again so always keep bike in low gear ready

Beat a Ferrai on my 400, glad I lost him before the bike topped out else he woulda screamed past me!

What he didnt know is I abused every last bit of the bike to get away, slipping clutch and redline and beyond! PRIDE is EVERYTHING! :)
