Forum rules
You are of course welcome along to any Southwestbikers rideout, however your bike must be in good mechanical order (we don’t want anything falling off of it including you), taxed and have a current MOT. You must have a valid motorcycle licence and current motor insurance. You are in charge of your motorcycle at all times and SWB will not accept any responsibility for actions you take or any accidents you may have. Always ride within your own capabilities and do not put others at risk. Remember, while you are on a Southwestbikers rideout you are representing the site and what it stands for.
Thank-you.

Don't forget......ANYONE can organise and run a rideout.

Can you give an idea the difference between medium and medium fast.

medium is faster than slower but not as fast as faster and not fastest.

where as fast is faster than the slow and medium but nowhere near as fast as the fastest.
[sarcasm]That is very useful information simon.[/sarcasm]

Watch this and tell me what group that is. If that is medium I am so going in the slow group/125cc!

Seriously? Especially at around 4 minutes onwards on that video.

If that's the case put me in the slow group.

lol.

it does all depend on road knowledge, conditions, who is leading etc.

probs worth trying to get out on some rides.

to be honest and i sure speedy will confirm this, if u go in one group and its too fast/slow for you then you can change groups. its no big deal.

Ok, I haven't actually been on a rideout before so I have been riding on my own. The weather is pretty rubbish at the moment of I will come on a rideout in march time.

But seriously, in that video with the sv650s, is that fast group speed? I know he could brake a little later, hold a little bit more speed round the corner and ge on the power a lit bit earlier but it seemed still quite quick to me!

I am new to biking so I don't know these things!

well the film is a bit misleading
the impression of speed is greater also the speedo is kmh so 100 is 60mph
as billinom8 said it all depends on conditions, experience, wellbeing, confidence in others the list is pretty long
best thing is start in a slower group and see how u feel and then progress to the next group if u feel comfortable.
if not stay put.no one will make u do anything that u don't feel happy with.

riding in a group can feel a bit intimidating but persevere and u will learn to enjoy it........and it does improve your riding. 8) 8) 8)

Thanks for the comments Bam Bam. They make sense, I realized that the speedo was in kmh^-1 but I was looking at the rev gauge where the guy uses most of the bike's power.

Sorry speedy, just needed group clarification which I have now.
