You are of course welcome along to any Southwestbikers rideout, however your bike must be in good mechanical order (we don’t want anything falling off of it including you), taxed and have a current MOT. You must have a valid motorcycle licence and current motor insurance. You are in charge of your motorcycle at all times and SWB will not accept any responsibility for actions you take or any accidents you may have. Always ride within your own capabilities and do not put others at risk. Remember, while you are on a Southwestbikers rideout you are representing the site and what it stands for.
Thank-you.

Don't forget......ANYONE can organise and run a rideout.

went out today

Post by ock »

I went out for a quick blast today, went from Penzance to St Ives to Camborne to Helston and back home again, :D it was bl**dy freezing, :( when its cold it just takes some of the fun out of it, got a week off now and I bet its going to be cold or raining every day, :( I wish the warm weather would hurry up and arrive, roll on hot sunny days and hot sticky tarmac

when you get cold your concentration drops and you can put yourself into dangerous situation without realising.

if you wear the right kit then you dont get cold and you'll enjoy riding much more and then you realise that there is no reason why you can't ride all year round,

yeah, I didn`t think it was that cold until I was out, keep having to go for a pee now, there was a lot of coppers out too, one with a speed gun near St Ives, four cars parked in a petrol station in Hayle and one stopped a car in Penzance

It makes fair weather motorcyclists like me seem rubbish, last time I even looked at my bike was over a month ago.

I reckon mid april and the season starts again.

manged to get a ride out yesterday as well

The first proper ride since the first weekend in January (now that was a cold camping weekend)

Did 200 miles around North Devon and Somerset and a few places in between starting out from Exeter

We always managed to stay away from the rain and never got cold at all (just a tshirt and my lining in the jacket)

There is no such thing as bad weather for biking just wrong equipment
