Whats your opinion on the WILDCARDS ??

Post by Blimey »

Whats your views on the WILDCARDS/ BSB boys mixing it with the WSB boys at Donny this weekend.

I say ok its great and gives them a chance to mix it with them but on the downside i feel its wrong that they are able to be there and take points away from the racers.

This is a championship and ok Bayliss and more or less got it in the bag but still there are other poistions in the championship to be had.

I say wildcards shouldn't be able to score points.

There argue as you please. Views welcome

I agree, I like the idea of wildcards. Just like how well Tommy Sykes did at brands. However I feel that maybe they should have their own special prize or get points added to their full time league? I don't think they should take points away from the regular racers.

Hopefully Tommy will do as well as he did last time.

its a open race and the riders get paid to score points so i dont see the problem, its a issue thats always been there especially when the japanese boys were kicking ass 10 years ago

what id ont get is why bsb went with pirei tyres so we could have wildcards but then ran different engine rules so theyre not quite so competitive

what will be good will be the tributes to craig jones on the sunday, hopefully crutchlow keeps a calmer head than he did at knockhill and goes out and wins one in joneseys honour, that would be ace

i totally agree mark, we had a few bsb boys last year racing with us including malcom ashley (MAR Kawasaki) and pete jennings from crescent, (Launch and traction control at club level!!!!!!!!!!) its really frustrating wen u desperatley need those last few vital points!

but hey its good to see a wildcard when its a brit in a higher class race, i was rooting for Sykesy at brands this year, get on my son!!

Great stuff from both Sykes and Crutchlow. Sykes really taking it to them in the first race and Crutchlow being smooth as an oily stoat in the second.

was ace being there and watching it,the skill of the guys backing it into the redgate on the brakes in that rain was unreal. shame about haslam and even worse for ellison as he was looking awesome and would have had the podium if he didnt take to the gravel

moment of the day was when tommy hill did a slow lap onboard craig jones's bike before the supersport race, the whole place clapped and cheered the whole way round. must have been good and bad for tommy as he was beside craigs bed when he died.

Deej you were there

Hope you had your brolly. I was sitting watching and said to the Mrs i feel so sorry for them idiots stood watching that.

Would of laughed my head off if i spotted you

Was a great few races and Sykes had that 1st race in the bag if it didn't get stopped

Poor Corser took a few batterings over the weekend.

I hope someone had a word with Haga and his silly drive back to the pits with a blown engine

What a difference it makes watching it after just riding around the place a couple weeks previous. I was shouting at the screen giving the riders pointers and help but they wern't listening

I think the marshalling on the first race seemed to be quite poor. I can't beleive how many riders had to fall before they stopped the race.

In the restart Bayliss had to do nearly two laps with his hand up before they waved the red flag.

I think the BSB boys should be able to race, but the positions shouldn't count. I certainly don't think they should walk away with any trophies. (my 2 pence worth).

Good race now, and Bayliss finally got a win at Donny

I saw the second WSB race this afternoon and what a cracking race it was.

IMO wildcards can only improve a race if they are keeping pace and not taking the role of a mobile chicane.

If the regulars in the series dont want to lose points then they need to work a bit harder and get infront of the local boys on their 'inferior' bikes, they are world class riders and get a good wage to race. I like to see people really earn their money.

sykes would have won if they used the same flag rules as bsb,in the 2nd part he slowed up when the marshall on the start line in front of us was waving the white flag with red cross which means safety car at bsb so sykes and haslam slowed up unfortunately in wsbks the flag means wet slippery surface which at bsb is yellow and red stripes, a easy mistake to make but one which cost him the win

i didnt get wet once mate, the joys of the redgate hospitality units made sure of that, was in the 2nd box out of pitlane and had a amazing view :P :P

Grandstand seat under shelter you jammy git

You must of got a grand view of Ellisons spin up and flick of his tail on the grid from the start then. I thought that was going to big a big big pill up. Can you imagine if it was and then there would of been moans about BSB wildcards mixing in

The supersport had to be the race of the day though. Brookes truly deserved that win
