todays motogp - spoiler

Post by deej »

well what a weird race that was

didnt expect pedrosa to have been that quick, quicker in the race on a full tank of fuel than he was in qualifying

not sure why rossi couldnt keep up during the race, lorenzo was flying considering his two big offs in qualifying

good to see hayden in 5th and i did like the patrioc paint scheme :P

when toselands pit board went out did it say penalty or p45 and get back to world superbikes, to ignore a black flag for 3 laps and then get disqualified wasnt the best of ideas

so its as you were in the title chase, roll on the next one and also donington in 3 weeks

finally how good was it to see it all live on eurosport,no adverts in the race and with the best commentary team too

A good but hardly stunning race ..... Pedrosa a surprise, Lorenzo in obvious discomfort, and the whinging Aussie turning on the tears ..... Hayden's result more luck than judgement, and Edwards not really as good as could have been expected.

The BBC also didn't have any adverts, and as often said I personally prefer the Stavros/Cox combo over that boring tw*t moody. At least they have both been out their and done it on the track (admittedly on four wheels for Cox  )

One thing the duo did say was the very poor visibility of the pit signs at Laguna due to the pits being set up for cars rather than bikes, and being in a position where the rider is actually looking in the opposite direction due to track layout. Still not much of an excuse though ......

huh, surely the pit wall was next to the track like it as at all circuits, theres no real excuse to not see the flags when he was so far back and all alone

i watched catalunya on the bbc and had to turn the volume down as i coudlnt cope with listening to cox,its weird how some people prefer bbc and others the eurosport coverage

thats the point, it would appear it isn't! it is apparently set some distance back and of different construction/layout to the norm in europe :?

Indeed :D different strokes for different folks  I liken the pair to the wonderful Walker/Hunt F1 pairing ....

So they're actually saying that the reason he didn't pit was that the pit wall is far away from the track ? Surely the black flag was waved with his number at the start line and his team board was out with penaltÝ wrote on it. If he didn't see his pit board why do they bother having them lol

Maybe he was suffering from tunnel vision  ! Can't really see why he wouldn't have seen his pit board three laps in a row, afterall you'd think he'd be looking hard for it on every lap anyway for his race info :? Oh well, seems maybe the curse of WSB to Moto GP failure claims another victim  .

Got to give Lorenzo his due, that was a massive off in qualifying so to come back and fight for 2nd place the way he did was astounding.

why thank you

got to agree with you on the next 2 races, rossi may have a chance at sachsenring ( i think thats next ) but i do fear for a pedrosa runaway at donington, hes so quick through the loop and if he can get the chassis right for craner he could be unbeatable
