Josh Brooks.....Banned
HM Plant Honda’s Josh Brookes will be penalised for the cause of events in race one earlier today. Following investigation by the Judicial Panel of the MSVR racing organisation which reviewed all evidence including TV coverage, statements from marshals, an inspection of the Brookes's machine and an interview with the rider himself the decision was made and an official statement was released.
“It was concluded that he had been guilty of reckless riding and ridinig in a a manner not compatible with general safety, in breach of MCRCB regulations B.2.6 and B.2.9.
A two event ban has been applied to Josh Brookes with a further one event ban, suspended for two events.”
No appeal has been received and Brookes who was injured in the incident will receive treatment and concentrate on returning to fitness ready for his return.

Here's an article that tells the tale ....
http://www.motorcyclenews.com/MCN/sport ... EPI-116878
Brookes certainly won't be on many teams christmas card lists will he
A wild guess might question whether he'll be racing in the UK next year ..... this compounds his actions at Donny where he took out Guintoli, and to be honest of the few BSB races I've seen this year he always looks fast and loose ......

I think its quite harsh,he had a good drive to pass walker who ran him out to the grass. He then passed him and got it wrong under braking, the surface is really bumpy there and with todays braling power and increased approach speed a accident will always happen there
It wasn't pretty to watch and feel really bad for simon andrews but it was a racing accident, shite happens in racing. Its only been made into a big thing because of the guintoli incident. Was there much difference between his crash and hayden taking out canepa on saturday ??
The annoying thing about it is he's the only guy fast enough to stay with camier this year.

It is a difficult as he was going bloody fast and was seemingly being held up by the front runners. But also a couple times him coming down devil's elbow made me say 'shiiiiiiiiiite' a couple times. I think it's more to reign him in so he thinks about his actions a bit more in future. He might become a bit more of a cerebral rider.

I do think the superbikes are too quick and powerful for tracks like mallory.

And there's the rub ........ the bikes have got too good for a lot of the UK circuits ....... or to put it another way, there has not been enough investment in the tracks we have to improve them and bring them into the 21st century. The trouble with that is costs rise, and people grumble about ticket prices.

Yep exactly matey. Progress with bikes and tyres is all well and good as long as the ciruits and facilities improve along the way

Very true, you see the sub 1minute times around many of the circuits and wonder as to the extent the circuit is capable of taking modern machines.

Re: Josh Brooks.....Banned
I thought it was a really tough decision on those riders who were brought down by Brooks' moment of madness (just caught it on Eurosport tonight) To an extent I can understand Stuart Higgs playing by the rules, but if a race is stopped due to rain for instance (and has gone the requistite distance to call a result, like they did in Race 2), then the positions stand as at the last time the leader crossed the line - I can't imagine Ellison, Camier and Gowland complaining about it had they done so, because they were all fairly surprised to get on the podium, and there were a lot of very unhappy people in the pit lane as a result of the decision...

Re: Josh Brooks.....Banned
Its a odd one as the rules are different in other series aren't they ??
Never understood the going back a full lap rule for a result, surely the result should be that positions when the red flag comes out are the finished result

Donny was not Josh's fault, it was brake failure.

It was always supposedly brake failure at donington, although hrc couldn't find any trace at the time
The rules made sundays accident worse than it was,for andrews especially

Re: Josh Brooks.....Banned
It was a racing incident if he (brookes)didnt have a go it would be like formula 1 just a possesion it all added to the excitement, Race director got it wrong should have gone to the previous lap for the winner and runners up If that were the case josh would not have been banned
thats my thoughts anyway
