Phaseone finish 2nd in Qatar 8 hr

Post by age »

We had a great weekend at Qatar.

The team worked well all week in 35 degree temps, James Ellison,Glen Richards and Pedro Vallcaneras put in some great times.

James and Glen gave us great feed back which enabled us to maker changes to set up that meabt that everytime they went out on track they went quicker.

After 2nd Qualifing we were in 3rd place superpole was next. James put in a lap of 2:01.002 which was .045 seconds quicker than the Honda team this gave us our first pole in quite a few years. The 2:01.002 was 1.9 seconds quicker than last year.

We did lead the race for about 40 mins but then Yamaha Austria went past and the michelin tyres they had were to good for our Dunlops. We stayed in 2nd right to the flag 1lap down on 1st and 1 lap infront of 3rd. It is our first podium since 06.

We also jumped from a crap 19th to 8th in the final standings of the championship !

We left Qatar at 11pm last night and after a stop off in Dubai we arrived back in the UK at 07:30 this morning !

A good race meeting all-round it would appear, despite the best efforts of Mike Wain and Foggy to sabotage proceedings
We'll be at the Crimbo do, oh yes indeedy

Age... is Craig wearing an ASBO ankle bracelet in that photo?
