Honda C90

Post by dizzy »

I have just tied starting my C90 after it has been sat out side 6 months, all starts fine but my lights, indicators, horn are not working, so I bought a new battery and changed the fuse on the live battery lead, but still nothing is working.
Is there any other fuses anywhere, that I have missed??
thanks

I am probably in danger of being involved in a wind-up, but anyway;
The C90 only has one fuse. I would think C90club.co.uk. is your best bet for wiring etc.

Thanks for that
I could only see one fuse, but I have no idea why the electrics are not working, when they were perfectly fine. I even put a new battery on first, she starts no problem, not even the horn works
Thanks for the link

The following link gives the full explanation of the wiring. You will read that it is not the battery.

Its a 1977 and is 6 volts
There are three boxes on the side above the battery
1 is an aluminum box with wires coming out of them and the other 2 are sealed boxes all no bigger than 1-1/2 by 1 inch
Even the horn and brake light are not working
I cannot see anything wrong with the connections or fuse.

Did you try to start it with the knackered battery? If so may have blown the bulbs without the the battery absorbing the voltage sent by the generator.

Have you checked the bulbs?

I think the C90 differed to the C70 as far as electics were concerned, I think the 50/70s would power the lights straight from the generator whereas the C90 used to power them from the battery, again make sure the new batter is OK/connected correctly.
