yamaha to start building cars?!?

Post by Ruffian »

Saw this and though would share

yamaha city car concept

If they can build it with a decent engine could make an interesting hot hatch!
(R1 engined would be a giggle!!)

Heard they've teamed up with Ford to bring us the YamaKA (Was going to put a video up but alas the only bike engine KA I could find was a KAwaspaki zx9r thing.

Yamaha already have a history with cars, I think some of the Toyota Supra engines are Yamaha developed as well as the 1242cc Fiesta/Ka engine - both motors being very good units. :8o)):

Yea they built the zetec s units (1.7 ford racing puma engine also)
But that was on a ford derived engine and car,
Now its sposed to be majority yamaha,

If they put it together well should be a decent car,
But the cost of building could be quite high as doing fulk electric also,

Time will tell I guess
