Standards of driving !!!!!!!
Hi everyone I know I have posted before about idiot car drivers , but it seems to me that drivers behaviour is getting worse not better . I have had several near misses over the last month or so where I had to take evasive manoeuvres to avoid an accident and before I go any further it was in towns and villages so I was at slow speeds , but yesterday was the worst for me as it happened on a duel carriage way near liskeard I'm in the fast lane doing the speed limit and over taking a van when without indicating he turns right into a gap in the central reservation I managed to avoid any contact lucky for me but this sort of thing must happen to all of us ? Or am I just unlucky?.

Pretty much normal.
My old pappy used to say - treat every driver as if they are out to kill you. It'll Help you stay alive.
It's worked so far.
Never give them an ounce of credit, always take it that they haven't seen you or that if they have they don't care.
Twice recently monster tractors have pulled out in front of me at junctions and I know that they have seen me.
Just teaches you to watch everything just like a ninja

Ha, me too! But then one must feel the force flow......
My old man told me the same thing, treat them all like they set out to end you. Sad, but there you are

i dont think there is a time i have been out and not nearly been knocked off!
make sure you leave room for those evasive manoeuvres and keep out the danger zones!

Ever been tempted to "discuss" their driving with them?billinom8s wrote:Pretty much normal.

I did years ago, and the guy actually tried punching me whilst I was sat on the bike. Didn't hurt a bit but I guess his hand must have hurt as he only did it once.
Re: Standards of driving !!!!!!!
I had a quiet word with a gentleman on the way to Paignton bike night last year,
Cut me up coming through Torquay ran two red lights then walked off like he did nothing wrong
Until I made him aware of his wrong doing,
People do not like "constructive criticism" of there driving and it's everyone else's fault besides there own!!
hence why I would rather have a louder exhaust and blatantly visible clothing,
I do think about riding with a helmet cam full time when on the roads, just in case for future reference.
