The 99/00 4xv model.

Ok I'm biased but it's a quality bike what I very good parts. No fuel injection to fart around with. Adjustable forks and rear shock.
Good riding position, handle very well, look awesome and go like fook in the right hands.

I've had one of mine for 10 years now and have no plans to sell it.

Mmmmm R1!!

I have no other useful information to add other than ride a few different models - I've had me leg over anything from a '99 to a '60....and they were all so so different!

simon does high mileage count on the R1 `S as I have seen some with 30k + on them also whilst I`m here which is better carbs or injected versions ?. :-bd

I know nothing about R1's so can't comment there, but carbs vs FI?? you have to ask, really?? FI every time ... why mess around with carbs? needles, jets, floats, primitive throttle position sensors ..... all belong in the dark ages. Jeez, you'll be asking if someone makes wire wheels for the damned things next ........ =))

Same as any engine, if it's been looked after then high mileage shouldn't be a problem. Mines done over 33k and still goes well.
