Overnight parking at Temple Meads station

Has anyone parked their bike overnight at Bristol Temple Meads station? Would you? The bike parking area is undercover and has railings to lock to, but I'm not sure how safe it is overnight.

Failing that, can anyone recommend somewhere within walking distance of the station where you'd happily leave your bike overnight?

Firstly, as this is the first time you have posted, Welcome to the site Pop along to the "introduce Yourself" section and tell us a little more about yourself .......

To answer your question, I am unaware of any specific issues with parking there - I assume you mean the lower bit by the access ramp at the signal box end of the Digby Wyatt shed? Both station and signal box are manned 24/7, and if memory serves there is actually CCTV covering that section too ....... probably the safest spot on the station unless you know someone who works in the signal box so you can park behind the pallisade fence

Thanks for your reply. I've used the bike parking section by the access ramp a few times during the day but wasn't sure how safe it is overnight. If there's CCTV and staffing in the vicinity then I may just go for it.

I have never used the parking at the station so can't comment on how secure it is.

I have a garage mins walk from Parson st station though, depending on when you were leaving the bike and coming back, you could park it here, i'm on site from 9-5 week days,
