Huge new 4-lane road going in with a large roundabout. Local told me it was preparing for the circuit.

I reckon it's just a dualling of the single-carriageway bit of the HoV, which will be a good improvement if the CoW is built.

Strictly speaking, the CoW was hosting MotoGP at the weekend, and a number of circuit staff with Welsh accents and wearing CoW clothing were in evidence there. Upon entering the circuit on Sunday morning I asked one of said Welsh folk whether the GP would ever get to Wales and they were confident that it would be there for 2017 (not quite the 2014 that Dorna first gave it to them for) - fingers crossed that it actually happens, and Sunday's weather was a taster for what may come when it gets there....
The good CoW folk were dishing out pairs of earplugs and had a wheelie bin full of them and being good people they didn't object to us helping ourselves to several seasons' worth.... :-bd (attempting to watch either MotoGP or Moto3 without earplugs fitted is actually painful %-( )

They better hurry up and build it, be nice to have another track within reasonable driving distance.

Nearly booked for our first MotoGP but then thought we should wait to be sure as if they switch to the alternate again it is a long trek at a time we won't want to make one (we can bunk down near enough if there is no accommodation so might be worth the risk).

This suggests maybe now is the time to book:

Edit: damn CoW are still showing it being at Silverstone next year.

Really hoping we can see BSB there soon as well as Thruxton is a great experience but maybe not a great circuit for spectators unless you get lucky with the weather like this year.

Oh, and I see what you did there "Virtually done..." ^:)^
