Due to budget cuts I rather have two drones than 760 police officers trying to give me a ticket, and as they only have an 18 minute flying time the chance of them being used to issue speeding tickets are slim. however give it a few years we will be dealing with Robocops and ed209's :)):
Electronic's keeps the boys upright, the men keep it on the knee slider :)

They have some interesting limitations - they cant fly higher than 400m, they arent allowed more than 500m from the operator, the operator also must have clear sight of the vehicle at all times, they arent allowed over a group of people greater than 1000, and they aren't allowed within 50m of a dwelling without the owners specific permission.

There are apparently two of them on a six month trial.

I wonder if you can pilot one from a helicopter?

I assume they work via radio control, so is it possible to intercept their control/streaming??

That is very, very restrictive, especially the 50m from a dwelling. Also, line-of-sight at 500m distance and 400m altitude seems to be not much use. Surely it wouldn't be usefully visible at 600m + away.

These regs will most likely get eroded, and special exceptions added. Tip of yet another BB iceberg.
