Look in here for local ride outs...

Forum rules
You are of course welcome along to any Southwestbikers rideout, however your bike must be in good mechanical order (we don’t want anything falling off of it including you), taxed and have a current MOT. You must have a valid motorcycle licence and current motor insurance. You are in charge of your motorcycle at all times and SWB will not accept any responsibility for actions you take or any accidents you may have. Always ride within your own capabilities and do not put others at risk. Remember, while you are on a Southwestbikers rideout you are representing the site and what it stands for.
Thank-you.

Don't forget......ANYONE can organise and run a rideout.

Be careful

Post by banjo »

Just to remind everyone if they do have to ride to be extra careful. On a 4 mile round trip to the shop on country back roads I saw a milk tanker and a tractor and slurry tanker both going faster than normal and seeming oblivious to other traffic. 2 cars. 1 rolling a cigarette the other on the phone 1 mini bus doing a u turn 1 woman with a dog walked out in front of me without looking

stay safe

It is very different when you have to go out for the weekly shop you can drive a mile or so before you see a car. so not a great surprise people are not taking the usual effort to look out for people. Daft thing is this is now when you need to look more then ever.

4.5 miles to work I saw 1 car this morning easy to get complacent about driving, on a brighter note I got the wide wheels on my tractor (3 mtr’s wide) makes it a lot easier to get about 👍👍👍👍

3 metres WIDE? That's nine feet nine inches in English, no wonder you find it easy to get about :D .

One assumes that's overall vehicle width .....

Enjoy it and ride it for the rest of us who are limited to sitting on our bikes and making braaap braaap broom broom noises in our garages B-) :ymhug: :))
Don't care who you are, how much you have, how powerful you are. You still sit on the toilet with your pants around your ankles. Yep, it's a level playing field..
