Forum rules
You are of course welcome along to any Southwestbikers rideout, however your bike must be in good mechanical order (we don’t want anything falling off of it including you), taxed and have a current MOT. You must have a valid motorcycle licence and current motor insurance. You are in charge of your motorcycle at all times and SWB will not accept any responsibility for actions you take or any accidents you may have. Always ride within your own capabilities and do not put others at risk. Remember, while you are on a Southwestbikers rideout you are representing the site and what it stands for.
Thank-you.

Don't forget......ANYONE can organise and run a rideout.

However, this could be a disaster waiting to happen for some people.

Its bad enough after a normal winter off the bikes.

But this time, people have had a longer break and have a lot of pent-up throttle action to un-willed.

Hope I’m wrong, but shit happens….

Personally just looking at getting out on the road and being able to enjoy the new bike.
Would be great to do so with some friends but if it is by myself then so be it.
Personally I have swapped bikes over the last 12 months to get a more road focused bike thats fun for the road that is not a track weapon with accident waiting to happen.
Looking forward to the spring of 2021 and some sunny days and some open roads

Have to remember that the dates outlined by Bozo the Chimp are only provisional; if the recent trends of reducing infections, hospital admissions and deaths start to turn around then they'll prolong lockdown.
On Saturday afternoon we drove through Bath following a hospital appointment and you could be forgiven for thinking that the pandemic was ancient history; groups of mask-less people exercising no distancing whatsoever. I dare say that behaviour was in evidence all across the country, and who heard the govt say that restrictions were no more? I'm fully expecting a spike in numbers in the next couple of weeks and announcements that restrictions are staying for longer. Why can't people just wait? We've put up with it for long enough but a little more abstinence is better than several months more surely?

I had to take the old girl for MoT on Monday. Traffic and peeps everywhere, and very few masks.

Could well get worse again before it gets better. Second jab booked.
Have you noticed that anyone going slower than you is an idiot, and anyone going faster is a maniac ?

Fully expect the release dates to be put back by the morons who can't wait to get to the beaches or have their street parties and go around without masks or social distancing because they think they're invulnerable and don't get vaccinated because they believe the nonsense on Fookbook/Tw(sh)itter.
