Forum rules
You are of course welcome along to any Southwestbikers rideout, however your bike must be in good mechanical order (we don’t want anything falling off of it including you), taxed and have a current MOT. You must have a valid motorcycle licence and current motor insurance. You are in charge of your motorcycle at all times and SWB will not accept any responsibility for actions you take or any accidents you may have. Always ride within your own capabilities and do not put others at risk. Remember, while you are on a Southwestbikers rideout you are representing the site and what it stands for.
Thank-you.

Don't forget......ANYONE can organise and run a rideout.

Thursday 26th August

Post by ptolemyx »

Start from Tiverton Mcdonalds, meet at 10.00 to leave 10.15

First 100 miles includes some "secret" Exmoor that I haven't shown you lot before. Stops at Lynton and/or Quince Honey Farm:-

Last 25 miles will take the usual old A30 route to finish and debrief/piss-take with a Bridge Motorcycles coffee/tea/sausage bap:-

I can make the start time earlier or later.?.?.?.?.

Bumpety bump....

So is anyone else going to join me, Steve, Phil and Wendy?
I think ancient Phil may be bringing the Torrey Canyon along for our amusement, if he's not rescuing some holidaymaker stranded in the region

Sorry folks, can't make this one due to the offer of being treated to a day out by distant relatives. On this occasion my position will have to be taken by that other well known practitioner of ancient-ness, Roy of the 'Acme Suzuki Bandit Modification Co'.
Have fun guys and no speeding, you know I disagree with it!

P.S. Info' for the future: I should be safe to follow now, the Torry Canyon has had her bulwarks caulked - and that's not a euphamism.

Thanks Bri for running and planning todays expedition into the nether regions of Exmoor. Thanks to Bri and everyone else for the turn off marking it was up to it's normal fool proof standard. Special praise got to go to Wendy for conquering the hairpin on the mountain side, it was a bit of a bugger. Really enjoyable day, sorry I had to leave early.

Thank you Bri, glad to be home!! Great ride today the day was a real blast and loved those roads. The morning was challenging and required a lot of concentration which will always contribute to being a better rider. The afternoon was fast flowing with great roads dodging the traffic. Love it, see you all soon.

I'm not going to add to any of the above positive comments except to also offer my thanks to Brian for getting us into some amazing parts of Exmoor that I would never otherwise have seen; also to Steve for his usual faultless cat-herding duties - and a minor thank you to my trumpet for behaving itself.

Here's a couple of pic's I took of us at The Buttery tea rooms in Doone Valley, Exmoor.
