it's all gone very quiet in here.........

What's going on?

Time of year, bikes in Storage, all fixing and servicing Jobs done and yet nobody talking a word about bikes, biking or even plans for new season.

What's santa bringing you this year or do you have any projects/plans for your toys for next year? Gonna change your bike, what you thinking of swapping it to?

Selling a bike? I know of a couple of people looking for a new ride, get it on here.

Personally, now I have a bike that doesn't seem to try and cripple me I plan to be out more, just done front pads on it and now it's good to go.
Dirt bike needs a bit of love atm as it got a bit battered around North Molton last week, so that'll keep me busy for a day.

I have Menzies trackbike in getting some servicing and checking over alongside Dave's ducati coming in for a lowering kit Install.

Who knows what next year will bring, hopefully a lot more road miles (I have done only 500 since September or LAST year), more dirt miles and lots more garage tinker time.

What about you?

Once the weather clears up (and my shoulder starts working properly again) I plan to work on my garage rather than in.
Need to replace most of the felt and sort the verges out to make it water tight again.

Loads of bike tinkering to do, like flushing the brake calipers on my KTM's as I've realised that simply flushing the system (as per the manual) doesn't actually change the fluid that is in the calipers.
Also the pistons on my SD front have become sticky so they need a strip & rebuild.

Planning to do a bit of exploring up north now that I can get a bike in the back of my van, try a bit of bike-van-camping to see if I like doing that.

Finally need to do some rides on my newly acquired VFR800 to see if I want to keep it.

Got bikes to sell but not the time to be selling.
Just out enjoying the mud and wetness on the other one.

Thinking my road days are numbered as dont enjoy it anywhere near used to.

It's looking less and less likely that I'll be posting a ride out this side of Christmas. Fingers crossed on getting one more in 2025.

Busa being prepped for sale as the problems with my hips, sacroiliac joints (and now shoulders too) mean I can no longer get comfy on it. Will advertise it in spring.

ZH2 about to be serviced and new chain and sprockets. Will also tear it apart for a deep clean to get to all the nooks and crannies that only get marginal attention during normal cleaning.
old and disgraceful so doing what I can while I can before I can't

I keep threatening to return the TL to life, but wouldn't suggest anyone hold their breath  ....... Done a surprising amount of miles this year on t'other one, including a couple of 3-400 mile round trips - even had to purchase some new tyres  The odometer steadily (scarily) approaches a 5 figure number!

Always taxed, insured, MOT'd, but it won't be out with the weather/roads as they are, so my youngest/newest bike will stay safely tucked up in its garage as it hits its 20th birthday next week

Well i have high hopes for 2026 when it comes to biking.

Keanu Reeves said it best when he said "Not riding motorbikes is not good for my mental health"

With the wife now diagnosed with MS and mobility seriously limited she needs me as her medical carer on a daily basis and cant be left alone for too long. This is a big change for both of us and we are still getting used to the new normal. However getting out on a motorbike for a while gives me some me time to be able to just recharge and get a bit of my soul back again.

My saving grace is that one of her medical conditions is chronic fatigue so its normal she will not wake up until lunch time. Hence the grand plan is out of bed early for me go do a ride and then get home for lunch as she is getting up and needing me.

European track days are a thing of the past for me now, i just cant leave her for that long...
UK track days seem like they could still work with the right prep work with her friends to help support whilst i am away. So i am hopeful for bagging a track day per month once the sun shows its head.

Bike wise as Billinom8s said my ZX6 is in with him for loads of service items (forks, brakes, engine oil changes etc) where as the road bike is still going string and now fitted with my new Aoocci screen and other then a BMW service in March its basically good to go for 2026.

I did get myself a new Airbag jacket for the road which is a better fit and now selling my old one as its too big for me.
Just need a bit of warmth (anything above 10 deg) and some non rainy days to go and have some fun.
Road Bike = BMW F900R SE (2020)
Track Bike = Kawasaki Ninja ZX636 (2019)
