Sunday 26th April.

Who fancies a run outside of Devon for a change?
09.45 a.m. meet at the Esso filling station on the A38, near Chelston roundabout east of Wellington - TA21 9QD.
Leave 10.00 a.m. prompt. Up to the Blackdown Hills for a stretch then taking in some roads and places less visited around mid Somerset before finishing where we started at Wellington - stopping halfway-ish for coffee and cake of course. Approx' 95 miles start to finish.
Route: https://www.google.co.uk/maps/dir/Esso, ... FQAw%3D%3D
NOTE: Breakfast stop confirmed at about an hour from the start - somewhere new to me but a place I've been threatening to visit for yonks.

Folks: Ignore Mr Google, 25% of what he'll show you is lies. It'll still be a lot of Somerset, but not how he tells it.

Will be missing Fozz-town by a mile or two; he's in Huish, I'll be turning out of Langport by the fuel station.

Put hazards on when realized but rider ahead didn't notice. Hope you all got on okay without tail end charlie? Didn't have my repair kit with me but luckily a passing Ducati rider saved the day doing the biker good Samaritan bit. String repair and loadsa air courtesy of nearby garage (at £1.50 ffs) got me home without losing pressure. For once I didn't know the ride route to follow you lot so went straight home. Tyre still holding pressure this morning. Think my local fitter will be doing an internal patch repair as only 500ish miles on tyre and hole in centre tread with sidewalls okay. I wouldn't heve been so lucky with a KTM rider, the stick I've given the orange brigade

Thanks to the bods who braved the day and came out for our soiree around some lesser known Somerset roads. Hope the cider farm brekky stop met with approval - it did with me because I had a glass or several of their produce on Sunday p.m. while watching MotoGP :D .
Thanks to Brian for TEC-ing and providing the talking point when we stopped in Chard for a group catch-up and learned you were a.w.o.l. due to aforementioned puncture. Glad you made it home o.k. and big kudos to the unknown Ducati rider for stopping and saving the day for you - proof if twer needed that bikers do indeed look out for each other :-bd .
