I'm fed up with having to take it to a dealer, so I'm looking for a tool to enable me to scan, diagnose, and update the ecu on my Uk 2021 Ktm690smcr. Note this is euro5, tuneecu and icarsoft won't do it all (according to their websites and email feedback).
Critical items to include:
Quickshifter
Service reset
Throttle position setting
ABS bleeding
DTC code read and diagnose/reset
Am I expecting too much? Or should I be expecting a piggyback ecu?
If possible I would also like it to be able to do the same on my Uk 2022 Kawasaki Ninja1000sx but this is not critical so should be considered a nice to have.
I do have obd connector, windows 10 & 11 laptops, android 16 phone.
Anybody have any thoughts?
I intend to keep the bike, so if it's expensive then will just have to trade off costs of workshop visits versus preference for doing all bike stuff myself. Although I have considered just chopping it in for a Jap enduro and converting it to sm because of ease of working with them in comparison to my ktm (both love it & hate it at times).
Cheers

Re: 2021 Ktm690smcr diagnostic tools
My understanding is that there is not only no software available to domestic customers there is also no software available to the independent trade. To access the ECU a main dealer has to be signed onto the KTM mainframe. Packages that turn on features such as quickshifters and track pack must be purchased by the dealer and the registered with KTM to a specific bike.
I think KTM ECU's can be hacked using Woolich Race Software but that means a trip to the Dyno and Woolich specialist which is also not cheap.

Service reset can generally be done without software, it's normally just a sequence of button presses to unlock the service menu.
ABS generally doesn't need diagnostic software either unless you have drained the ABS pump, for normal fluid changes it's not necessary.
