Impreza's arent dissapointing, far from it.. I know this because Dad owned a WRX Ver.4 Import with the Subaru upgrades, standard 285bhp engine, with dyno-prints, and then with full system and decat, induction kit, and FMIC, up to 320bhp. People say that they are poorly built.. try dismantling the dashboard to fit gauges!

All in all, it was an excellent car, needs to be the facelifted model though, not Ver.1 or 2. Had sunroof and climate control, MOMO steering wheel with airbag.

The imports are ALOT more better than stupid heavy slow UK versions. The import versions have alloy bodypanels, bonnet, wishbones and other steering components, where as the UK model are all steel.

I'd definately have one, if I could afford GRP20 insurance! We owned it for over a year, never had any problems, just had a new engine before we brought it. Dad also upgraded brakes to 4 pot STi calipers.

Was expensive to run, only on optimax and octane boosters, and did like 20mpg.. but I wouldnt say it was a dissappointing car.. far from it. Nothing around quicker than 0-60 in 4.5sec and top speed of 165mph.

Haha.. I'm not wasting any money on a MK3 Astra.. :P

I'll spend money on a car, if its a car I like.. not a cheap work horse!

£45,000! I can buy a second hand Ferrari Testarossa for that! Screw piece of Vauxhall crap!

This dude is sooo right!

'Usually, to get huge BHP gains on your car, you would need to glue on an Induction Kit, get a Huge Exhaust and put some neons under your car, which meant saving up your hard earned social security benefits. Or when you decided to do something with your life, and start stealing faster cars, you would have to get dodgie garages to turn up the boost, or fit stolen parts to make it go faster. If you think this is the only way to get crazy, fast power, and impressive your mate's 15 year old girlfriend, then think again.' TRY THE POWER RESISTOR!
