Definaly. Apprently there are still some drivers out there that are so old, when they started to drive a car there was no test! I hate following old people...they go 20 in a 20mph zone, the go 20 in a 40mph zone, they drive in the middle of 2 lanes, when there is a round about with 2 lanes going in diffrent ways they either drive in the middle of both lanes or go in the wrong one...they take their friends with them to the local coffie shop all the time...they stall the car, they go fast then slow then fast then slow...they take about 10 minutes to fill up a car, they dont know what indicaters are for and the more adventerous ones find the indecators and leave them on, its takes them 15 seconds to get from 0-30mph, they turn then look in the mirrors, they leave their full head lights on all the time, they wear farmers hats in the cars, the listen to radio 4 and they take up two parking spaces. But to be honest the men drivers are a little better, a little slower then normaly people but they stay in the middle of the road. They should use push bikes, bus and those motorised buggy cart things that go 5 mph but they should use the buggy things on the road. And to go shopping they should either use the internet or live in a village where they can use the local shops like back in the black and white days. Im in a mood by they way.

Not all old people are bad drivers, just for the record. I know a guy who is 72 years old and rides a Fireblade in HM Plant livery and you should see him ride the flipping thing. If you think I am kidding, just ask Jay when he comes back from sea as he rode in the same group.
Dont knock all old 'uns, just as you should not knock all youngsters. Just my two-penneth.

If life begins at 40, that makes me 15 years old.

yeah, they got back about 1115 on wednesday evenin, fairing has cracks in it on both sides from where she was initially hit, then the bike falling to the ground and then the old woman continuing to reverse onto the bike. the throttle got wedged open but the rac sorted it for to get home.
she was a bit shaken but maily pissed off at how he was treated/looked upon for riding a bike. its in the hands of the insurance company now, just as well cos she buggered off to majorca today with one of her mates and left me to sort it out - hmmmmmmm rough end of the stick me thinks.
thanks for all the comments and thoughts tho, just goes to show its not an isolated incident.

Oh my God!
I know I'm well late here, but I had no idea what happened!
I'm glad Kim's okay, I hope everything gets sorted out!
Old people are so... old! Yeah granted some are adequate drivers, but the vast majority seriously don't have the attention, awareness or the driving skill to be on the road, maybe once upon a time they did though - and they won't hesitate to tell you that - but the fact remains; not anymore.
The guy that knocked me off last year (On the fecking dual carrigeway!) was quite old, ugh.

As I said in my initial post, some of the old 'uns are able to drive well and even fast in some cases. I do however, hate the ones you are on about, just about to peer over the steering wheel who normally drive Nissan Micras at around 20 mph.
Cuppa tea? Yes please, milk and no sugar thanks. Oh, and a sticky bun please whilst you are at it.
