We're still keeping our heads above water. Jane's getting stir crazy, missing time out with her girlfriends. I'm nipping out around sunrise each morning with Elgar - that dog's never been so fit and me so knackered. Doing our best not to go down the slippery slope of drinking too much....I still cannot remember the seventies or eighties; fifties, sixties and more recent times are okay but those two decades went in a blur of over abuse

They way I interpret his statement is.... non-essential travel is now ok from Wednesday.
That means recreational riding is now ok.
Social distancing is still a thing, and it's not as if cafes & pubs are open so you'll need a drink &/or packed lunch if you want one whilst out.

It’s going to cause issues as a cafe in langport has remained open serving takeaway coffees, sarnies etc,locals up in arms as it’s been attracting large groups of cyclists to gather Over the last four weekends !
