Riding home from a mates house in Hexworthy, on the moors, on my little TY250 many years ago in the dark, in snow so thick I could barely see the headlight, missed a corner completely, and lost the road - took me 10 minutes of papping me pant's thinking I was gonna be lost on the moor all night before I found tarmac again ....
Of all the things I have ever lost, I miss my mind the most .....

Not only was i duty last night and i had to freeze to death in the snow, the bike wouldn't start, i had to get a push, i then had to push it up hill to get in the garage because i stalled it trying not to fall off, what usually a 10 minute trip took me an hour and a quarter.

Rode the 125 into work this morning.

Only scarry bit was when sat on it and going backwards down the drive, applied the front brake, it locked up, couldn't get any grip with my feet to stop it, ended up using my wheelie bin as a braking device. Luckily its bin day, and its was at the end of my drive.

Just took it very slowly down the big hill from my house, staying on the fresh snow, 1st gear and don't touch the front brake
Got a bit worried when I saw the car tracks bouncing off the curbs, but made it ok, only 5 minutes late.

It's just not worth it sometimes, most of the roads should be fine but theres always the odd road which is totally covered in ice. I just think how lucky I've been over the years but if you keep riding in the snow it's just a matter of time
