you need to enjoy life and experiance stuff whatever age, whether 16 or 60 its kind of inconsequential.

the biggest restriction when your younger tends to be money. Who ever said the best things in life are free was talking out there arse. Broadening your horizons can cost alot of money.

and what one person would recommend as a life experiance another might think is a pointless waste of time.

heres a cheap one if you havent done it already...

train for and run a marathon

My idea of hell
Why run when you can ride.

As Jason said most things cost money, so your first thing needs to be inherit/steal/earn/borrow large amounts of cash.

I have to agree, military life is pretty good for a young lad, altough you don't want to be in the army (you may end up in Iraq  ).

Best thing i've done is join the Navy, by the time i was 18 i'd travelled half of the world, done lots of amazing things, drank loads of beer, and have plenty of stories to tell the grandkids!
I got a HND in electronic engineering during my naval apprenticeship.
Now i've just turned 23 and earn +35K a year, get time off whenever i want and get an extra two weeks paid leave to do Adventurous Training each year (you can do anything from snowboard to canal boating).
Cracks me up when i go home and my friends have just finished their degrees, now most of em do boring stuff like work in banks.

If you fancy a challenge and don't want to work in an office, maybe a career in the miltary would be a good idea. I know its not everyones cup of tea, but its another avenue to explore!

Study hard and build up a future for yourself. The streets are filled with bums who have 'a story to tell when they were just like you'
