Tyre ratings/markings

Post by Red5 »

Just pricing up tyres for the bike. Just wondering what the W means in the tyre spec. 120 /70 / ZR17 W58. Getting Pirelli diablo rosso corsa's. Given that's what I am use to now.

Just curiosity more than anything as it's never crossed my mind before so obviously hasn't effected my riding so far, unless ignorance is bliss... :D
Don't care who you are, how much you have, how powerful you are. You still sit on the toilet with your pants around your ankles. Yep, it's a level playing field..

Load maximum and (reduced) speed rating if fully loaded.
Have you noticed that anyone going slower than you is an idiot, and anyone going faster is a maniac ?

Now then boys and girls (and any others) spend a happy hour or two on spark plug alphanumeric designations.
There will be questions later...
