The central section is pretty far from the road at that point.
Sounds like either someone pulled out on him or hit the brakes in front of him when they saw the camera

That (left hand) bend is notorious for single vehicle accidents. Several fatalities at that point in the past (the original reason for the camera being placed there). Could be a number of things from slipping on a damp surface, to a moments inattention and running wide, to unknown third party involvement or machine failure.
Either way, here's to a speedy recovery and a comfortable Christmas for them. I guess they'll have a few more things to put on their chrimbo pressie list now ....

Has my best wishes as well, 'specially at 65.
If that's the one in the middle of the road, it nearly got me. You're not looking for it on that side of the carriageway. Loads of trees to camouflage it as well.

Have you noticed that anyone going slower than you is an idiot, and anyone going faster is a maniac ?

Re: biker down A380
I was driving a 7.5 tonne recovery truck and approaching that camera on the Exeter-bound carriageway at around the same time of day last Tuesday. I had to move fairly quickly to the offside lane due to a deer fully in the nearside one - they're not exaxctly easy to see in the pitch black without their flourescent jackets!
I thought at the time that if I'd been on a bike, and probably going a bit quicker, it would have been 'interesting' to say the least. It's not the first time I've seen deer in that area, although in the past they've always been well away from the black stuff; I wonder if that's what caused it?
Whatever, I wish that biker a speedy and complete recovery.

Yep, they're regularly right out on the kerbline, feeding without a care in the world. Could be a possibility .....Robbo87 wrote:I was driving a 7.5 tonne recovery truck and approaching that camera on the Exeter-bound carriageway at around the same time of day last Tuesday.
