It's actually possible to use the side of the train bridge. Bit of a steep entrance Barmouth aide but can be done.

All the roads around there are great. I stayed at bikers retreat at Dog and they do some good routes. Not sure about the specific road but the stop at the pumping station is good for chips ( Power Station, A496, Blaenau Ffestiniog LL41 3TP) the road from there to betws-y-coed was good to. Thanks all. I guess this means changing brake pads/disks a bit more often too. I just got into the habit of not wanting to use brakes at in the corner

Have used rear brake to steady bike in corners but stopped doing that a while back too.

Will try leaving brake very slightly on till apex. ISH... :-)

Loads of older bikea as well as the usual suspects. A KH750 stood out plus a weird Harley Davidson badged two stroke.

Well done on doing the CBT. What do you mean front braking? That's where most of the braking on a bike is done. There are some instances where the back is used but you'll find you stop a LOT faster with the front. Squeeze the brake progressively don't grab it. Plenty of you tube vids. Are you going ...
