Re: Sunday 1st May Afternoon, Cornwall

Hey up Badger

You got any ride-outs planned? I see the ones in late April and early May didn't get many takers on the forums. Suns shining and the Duke is itching to stretch her legs. I'm keen for a mid week ride if you fancy it.

Cheers Max.

Hello Jogler

You've got Mac's D's at Hayle on a Tuesday eve, Helton has a meet on Thursday's I think, Royal British Legion at Victoria on Thursday too, very busy and a great setup.

Ducati owners meet up in Perran and Zelah but all sorts show I believe.

Cheers Max

Re: Hello from Hayle/Camborne

Weather's looking good for tomorrow evening, anyone heading down to Mac D's at Hayle? Should be absolutely baltic but at least the sun is out. I'm lucky owning a big v-twin... It'll roast my nuts even if I was riding her past the south pole. :)

Re: Llandow Transport

I'm very keen to do both Llandow and Pembury. Anyone interested to buddy up on transport? I'm in Cornwall but anyone from Plymouth or Exeter areas would work too. Leaving on Thursday the 9th mid/late afternoon. Either van hire, your van or I'm happy to tow using my car if someone has a two bike trai...

Thanks Ruffian

We're not out of the woods yet but I'm confident of a good result and getting back to enjoying my lovely Duke.

Re: Help needed.... Deisel in Ducati!!!

Cheers Ruffian... We're not out of the woods yet. You know that feeling you have on the first hour or two after a big repair where you're just waiting for something to go wrong. It takes a fault free ride to settle your mind that all's ok and you can just enjoy the bike again. I'm confident though.....

Re: Help needed.... Deisel in Ducati!!!

Update.... Report form GTMotorcycles is.... Tank and fuel system flush/clean, new plugs (at my request I admit), No need for O-rings, Fuel filter is a metal gauze and as such cleaned when flushing the system with no replacement required. Lisa on the workshop desk said she fired up fine, as expected ...

Re: Help needed.... Deisel in Ducati!!!

Thanks fellas... Well the good news is, she went like a rocket for the 30 mins of riding that I managed before I took my head for a shit and filled her with diesel. The 1199s makes my old 2007 RSV Factory and Honda SP1 feel positively slow in comparison. At this stage I'm happy with everythin...

Re: Help needed.... Deisel in Ducati!!!

You couldn't script it could ya Badger. Big effin lesson learned today! I've never in 22 years put the wrong fuel, so I decide to do it for the first time with my sparkly new 1199s.

Do you have any experience with this? Happy outcomes usually etc?

Re: Help needed.... Deisel in Ducati!!!

Thanks for the swift reply Ruffian. Luckily after a couple of stutters from the engine I was only half a mile from home so have pushed it back. I've just spoken with GT Motorcycles in Plymouth, they've been really helpful and are collecting it today... Looks like a full tank and system flush, new fu...

Help needed.... Deisel in Ducati!!!

I've just put £8.00 worth of diesel in my 1199s. I rode it for 1.5 miles, it stuttered then I realized and turned it off.. What a [idiot]!!!

Thanks in advance

I'm based further west near Hayle but I'd be keen to meet in Newquay, say hello. Are you taking the Atlantic highway down and up?

Cheers Max

Hello from Hayle/Camborne

Hello all, Just come back to riding after an 8 year hiatus. Being a big v-twin fan and after years of deliberation and longing, I've finally taken the plunge and I'm now the very proud owner of my first Ducati... an 1199s Panigale. She currently sat in the kitchen, next to log burner keeping warm re...
