Hi Greg, I've not posted here for a while but your post made me smile... I tried to convert this lot a few years ago and got slagged off for touring on a sports bike. I go to the the Mediterranean via the Alps or the Pyrenees every year (incl last month) with a small group (4 of us). Next year we we...

Are your revs actually varying or is it just the needle on your rev counter?? - If so it's probably just a minor problem with the instrument and I wouldn't worry about it. If it is your revs does it only happen on full throttle max power? - If so it's probable just a symptom of the power restriction...

Mate - I don't think I've made myself clear... What I am trying to say is that Haynes are telling you Primary resistance of between 0.7 to 1.1 Ohm and Secondary resistance of between 5,700 to 8,500 Ohms. (not 5.7-8.5. That is what the k means). Is that the scale you have checked? You have to switch ...

Really not trying to be condescending but are you sure Haynes doesn't say 5.7-8.5k Ohm?

Are you sure you measured the resistance properly? Without a TZR manual to hand I can tell you that the primary winding resistance is normally les than one Ohm but the secondary winding resistance will be thousands of Ohms. You need to change the meter scale between reading them both normally. That ...

The "Evo" will be fine of course but you should really avoid the Pirelli Corsa and Supercorsa as well as Metzeler Race if you have a standard Dragon/Evo on the front.

All of the current and past Metzeler and Pirelli sport radial ranges except the MP7 are technically compatible with your Dragon front. However you should not put a "softer" rear on than the front. So Dragon, Dragon GT, Diablo, Diablo Strada, ME Z1, ME Z2, ME Z3, ME Z4 and ME Z6. Bear in mi...

I see no reason why anyone should not be able to discuss the level of service they have received from a garage, so long as they have attempted to resolve their issues with said location first, and it is done in a simple manner - not as an "internet lynching" Totally agree... and be...

My bit... ZX6R is quite right, but I doubt if many still have the article to hand - it was a fair while ago? I first used this dealer in 1976 and have bought about 10 bikes from them over the past 30 years - as a selling dealer I still rate them for price (relatively), part-ex deal and standing by t...

My thougts for what they're worth... I tend to agree with Age - there's not too much to be gained with a poor OE rear shock, unfortunately a quality one will cost £400+. However, even a Hagon with only combined damping and pre-load adjustment should improve a bandit 6 at a cost of about £250. Rememb...

Following some unpleasantness with a now ex-biker I haven't posted here for several weeks, but I decided to return this evening. A short while ago I posted in a thread in support of an earlier poster- I noticed shortly thereafter that I had forgotten to log in but it was not very contentious so I di...
